Right click on the song you want to convert. (Or for us Mac users, ctrl + click)

Choose Create MP3 Version

Under Playlists a Convert icon will pop up that shows the process is taking place. A sound, similar to the upload completion sound, will chime when the conversion is completed and the icon will disappear.

The file will automatically appear in your iTunes list. It will look the same as the other file, but by right clicking and looking at get info / summary / kind , you can distinguish between the two files.

I apologize to any readers who might have visited this blog in the past 6 weeks. There has been an extreme lack of posts lately because as of August 1st I moved into a part time role with my firm as I am focusing on traveling and climbing for quite a few months (of which you can read about here ). I have all these thoughts on new technology, the current market state and venture capital in general, but have yet to get any of these posts on the blog. I will be residing in Colorado for a couple more days and will strive to get a new post up soon.

I apologize for my absence and hope all you readers are well. =)

Jim is a great business man, responsible for building many companies and overall just a great guy. He is a key contributor to the University Venture Fund, a group that I used to be involved with and thoroughly enjoyed. I truly respect Jim and was glad to see he was honored this year.

I plan on taking the GMAT this summer in hopes of going back to grad school by August 2008. However, I have also thought about completing some computer science classes while working in order to get a better understanding of computer hardware and perhaps starting to learn how to program.

So, today I enrolled in my first class at Berkeley. ‘Yes’, I live in Utah and ‘no’ I have not paid any tuition to Berkeley. That’s because I am trying out the podcast version of a handful of free classes that were mentioned in last month’s WSJ article, “Yale on $0 a Day.” Berkeley has a good selection of options, one of which being a Computer Science related program. I decided to start with a basic class, subscribing to IDS 110: Introduction to Computers. Throughout the 23 tracks I should gain

An introduction to computers and digital technology and culture. The conceptual foundations and functions of computer hardward and software. Structure and use of the Internet. Elements of programming for the World Wide Web. Students will complete a substantial programming project related to their academic interests.

Sounds pretty simple, but as I look through some of the tracks I definitely feel like I have a lot to learn. I am pretty excited about trying out my tuition-free classes from Berkeley and will keep you apprised of the details.
