Mozy, one of my favorite companies, just closed a multi-million dollar deal with GE!!!!! Way to go Mozy!
Mozy is a Utah start-up based in American Fork and is led by Josh Coates. The company started with a focus in the consumer market, offering unlimited backup for a mere $5 per month (or 2gb for free). Within the last couple months the company has increased their focus to include the enterprise storage arena, releasing MozyPro. As of yesterday the first big deal was announced.
Today we finally saw some coverage from Arrington over at Tech Crunch. It seems like he has been boycotting covering the company though they have been a head-to-head competitor in the consumer space.
*Note that my employing firm is an investor in the company and I am an observer on the board, so I am quite biased towards the company.
